The problem is not connecting to XBL. The problem is partying up, chat, and gaming with another person who is also on CentruyTel.
Bridging the modem is worth a shot. I will try that tonight. The thing is I have had ZERO problems with XBL before. I have had CentruryTel for over 3 years now.
Put the modem in bridge modem and setup the router for PPPoE. My friend did not make any changes to his setup. As long as it's working we're not going to change anything
i did what you did i went to the wizard setup switched the mode from routing to bridge but pppoe didnt pop-up only when it was on routing then when i apply bridge it wont even let me connect to xbox live and the internet light wouldnt pop-up anymore. i need some help because i have enable upnp and turned off the firefall but i still cant join some games or partys
Once you put your modem in bridge mode, unplug both your modem and router. Wait a few minutes...then plug in your modem and wait for the DSL light to stay solid. Once it's solid, plug in your router. The internet light will disappear once your modem is in bridge mode as that is normal.
