Regardless, wouldn't net neutrality, with respect to treating all traffic the same, be more in the spirit of the 1st Amendment? What I find fascinating is the Orwellian aspects to these types of arguments. At its core Network Neutrality attempts to decouple delivery from content. How mandating first-mile providers cannot promote or discourage certain types of content becomes an infringement of the First Amendment eludes me.
Corporate outrage over possible legislation is always countered by saying we would never do it anyway so there is not need for the regulation.
