1 edit | Weekend - spend on customizing electronics on new car I'll spend most of the weekend learning and customizing all the electronic controls on my new car. Set addresses into NAV system ; phone pairing; loading music on to harddrive; pgmming Sirius presets; learning all the voice cmds for Nav, music, bluetooth phone cmds; etc.

Enjoy it man , I bought a Fusion and regretted it , after a year I drove it to the Infiniti dealer and bought a g37x coupe instead.
I loved the car but no dealer would touch it because it was a hybrid that I got before they hit the dealership. My uncle works for Ford and I had one well before people ever knew about it.
It turned out to be a major headache and I lost my shirt on it. I really like the comfort and feel of it. But the all wheel drive hybrid was a disaster for us.
Im not even sure if the awd versions are hybrid any more because of the issues I don't think they made many.

I'm still driving my 2003 Silverado with 118,000 miles on it. It still runs well, and it has a feature no new car available to me has.
No payment.
Enjoy your new ride. I know the day will come when my ride gives up the ghost. But, I just put new tires and tie rod ends on it. At this pace, I'm looking to make it to 200,000 miles...

Nice! I have really been impressed with Ford's new offerings too. Do you mind if I ask why you decided on the Milan hybrid over the Fusion hybrid?
My Altima will be paid off next year and it will become my daughter's car; If I don't get a Volt, I've been thinking about getting a Fusion hybrid, or possibly an Edge or a Flex if they come out with a hybrid model.
I am so glad the American car companies have me excited about buying American again.

Mostly I just liked the look of the front end on the Milan better than the one on the Fusion and the interior was slightly more upscale looking. But also a little part was that Mercurys get slightly better reliability numbers than the Fords even though they are basically the same under the skin.

They still aren't. Very few were ever made by ford for "testing" basically higher ups family got a chance to buy them for cost.
I am not a fan of the Fusion at all. Had way to many issues. 2009 was a headache. Hopefully they cleaned it up , cuz they are real nice cars.

I have a 2001 Mercury Sable with 189,500 miles on it. I just got it back from the shop as the idle air control valve was all clogged up and causing problems. Since that was cleaned the car runs like its brand new again. Hopefully it will last until I finish graduate school.
Having no payment is a great thing and I will make this car last until it can't go no more.
If anyone is interested I have the 24V DOHC engine. |

Driving mine until I have to walk to the next one.
Grew up wrenching on cars. Having a new one is a fine luxury, but given my pay, I need to stay cheap.
I do kind of love the old bird, though. We've been together for 6 years now and she's still going strong.
