Re: will it be unlocked from Google? work on ATT as well? said by ISurfTooMuch:I hope that definitely means 850/1700/1900 UMTS. If that's in fact true, then we're golden. I agree. I would definitely check into it. I'm on AT&T and I hate my current phone. It will be interesting to see what Google offers and for how much.
Ugh, I just read that it will be made by HTC. I hate my HTC Fuze. It's incredible slow and clunky. This phone got good reviews and I have no idea why. It literally takes 2-3 seconds for the phone to recognize that you have pressed the button to answer a call. Not acceptable at all. -- The Mogambo Guru economic newsletter, an avocational exercise to heap disrespect on those who desperately deserve it. |

joakoPremium join:2000-09-07 /dev/null kudos:5 | I hardly see how Windows Mobile is a "problem." I have an HTC S743 and it runs just fine. I would have bought an Andriod phone but there are none with AT&T 3G. (UMTS 850/1900.) -- PRescott7-2097 |

| WinMo tends to run slowly on any given piece of hardware, which with a lighter operating system would run like a dream. I'm not bashing WinMo for the heck of it; that's what my last two main phones have run (HTC Touch Pro, HTC Mogul) but neither phone has been a particular speed demon. That said, the Touch Pro is generally quite responsive (thanks HTC for customizing the thing). |

Jim GurdPremium join:2000-07-08 Plymouth, MI | Thanks. I just got done updating it (and restoring all of my settings which took much longer than flashing a new update). I'll play around with it for a while and see if I can really tell a difference. It seems a bit better from the limited testing I've done so far. -- The Mogambo Guru economic newsletter, an avocational exercise to heap disrespect on those who desperately deserve it. |
