| In my experience, handset does matter When I used my Palm Treo on AT&T, I was able to use data services much more efficiently. Now that I have an iPhone, I find that data performance is poor, especially in download speeds and the performance of the old Edge network. My Treo could operate Google Maps in places where my iPhone says, "no way." One major difference seems to be in network latency: ping times from my iPhone are much higher that from my Treo across the board. |
