I hope that definitely means 850/1700/1900 UMTS. If that's in fact true, then we're golden.
That would suck. It needs to include UMTS2100 support no matter what. I don't need the phone to support more than one North American 3G network, but it needs to be able to work on 99% of the world's 3G networks.

I wonder why no vendor has come up with a quad-band 3G phone yet.

It would have to be a penta-band 3G radio.

Combine that with the quad-band GSM, WiFi, BT, and GPS and you'll have a 12-band phone!

It would be heaven if that materializes, but looks like engadget retracted their earlier report.
