I don't have a cellphone

And I think their use should be banned in public, just like public smoking.

Yeah, just carry a pound of quarters in your pocket, right? Duh...

Duh, quarters for what? If you're referring to pay phones, you don't need coins to use them.

What, just use that annoying Carrot Top's Collect Call scam and fleece the person you are "blessing" with a call? No thanks! I think collect calls and the inconsiderate people who can't pay for their own calls should be banned - period.

Cell Phones, like everything else (cars, weapons, tools, alcohol) need to be used responsibly by their owners.

Ummm... Ever hear of "calling cards"? I've been using them for 25 years. I can make a call and have it charged to my home phone number. And I don't fry my brain with radiation in the process.

I have - and in most cases they are a TERRIBLE deal. Along with high minute rates, they now get you for a "coin telephone surcharge" and often deduct minutes you never use, especially with those pre-paid scams.

I am not kidding - I have had a few 15-20 minute calling card calls cost more in a month than my 500 minute with free nationwide roaming/long distance "bucket" plan from Sprint. And in hotel rooms, the hotel proprietor bilks you another $1-2 just to connect to the card's toll-free access number. No thanks!

When my phone vibrates with a call in a public place, I let it go to voicemail. In most cases, the phone logs the caller ID and I can call them when I am able to. I excuse myself and go outdoors or in a place where my call doesn't disturb others.

Now if you don't want to fry your brain cells and don't mind using calling cards, that's your choice and more power to you. Just don't lump me in with the inconsiderate jerks or tell me what I can or can't do, as long as my responsible use is not bothering you.
