Re: Problems with Catalyst Control Center by the way, MSI afterburner is just a reskin of rivatuner with a few new abilities or something. i hear it has better support for new ATI cards since he hasnt updated the real RT in a long time. he was paid by evga to create their precision tool before MSI's afterburner and he's been pretty busy with both. |

Do you have Vista or Win7? Turn of Aero.... that "kinda" helps.
Install JUST the ATI driver... NOT CCC.
People say it is an overheat issue (not mine... my card barely gets close to 40C.
People say it is a power issue (which I am going to test now because I bought a new PSU).
People say it is a driver issue.
People say it is an OS issue.
What pisses me off is that I built my own system back in Oct08.... and then all of a sudden in March or April I started having the problem. I tried uninstalling some windows hotfix they suggested in that thread.... but no luck.
I even installed Win7 from scratch... no luck.
That is why I am trying the PSU now. |
