Exactly why they aren't dumping billion$ into building out a more robust network, The iPhone effect is temporary until exclusivity ends, or strong contenders (like droids) reduce market share and lessen the bandwidth crunch.

AT&T wants quick cash fast. And they know their time is ending quick.
Verizon for one is going to grab everything they can, FiOS already dominates in speed and price, and now their cell phones are becoming more like the iPhone or better!
Now I cant wait until the iPhone can be used on the better, more robust Verizon network, because AT&T is going to post a good quarter that year, and then the next its going to crash. And they will deserve it for being such losers.
Companies like AT&T disgust me. They want to make everyone feel stupid, and bad for using the service provided for them for the money they/we are paying. Then we get stuck in stupid 2 year contracts. They only want money fast, and dont care at what cost to the customer.
AT&T is only in its position today because it has the iPhone. If not, they wouldnt be as big, and maybe then no one would compain of slow 3G because the phones wouldnt be able to do much anyway!
Go Verizon! You now have my business for tv/internet/home phone, and when I get out of my contract with AT&T I will jump ship ASAP to get away from the stupidity coming out of the overpaid exec's mouths. |

kudos:1 | From what I hear from friends and family, at least here in NYC/NJ where I am most of the time, Verizon is on top with coverage, and most reliable network.
Yes I had my share of crappy billing, but to blame and scold me on my comment and opinion based on "support" "billing" and "phantom fees" really isnt an issue to everyone, and wont keep me away from the service.
And to comment about support so far for tv/internet/phone, its great.
Now since I am coming from a tech savy backround, and an Iphone user, you should already know I use data all day from anywhere.  |
