[iO] Channel 612I know many of us complain about how slow the cable boxes are, but has anyone seen the revamped channel 612? The graphics seem crisper, the lay out is easier to manage and the responsiveness is virtualy instant. What really blew me away was how quickly the video loads. The second you click on a video, its playing.
I think with the right code, the SA boxes we have still have quite a bit of life left in them. |

Yup, in fact none of my interactive chanels were working at all for a while. Traffice when 612 did work never loaded since the day i got IO. Now they all work and work crisply. Now if they can fix my Shortcut feature to give me NJ instead of LI news it will be perfect but that ain't no biggy. Like you said huge improvment. |

Yeah it's faster but you can't exit out of the channel by directly entering in a channel...you have to climb out of 612 but using the up or down channel selector so speed you gain in the channel is lost when you try to change the channel. |

It looks like all of Cablevision's interactive channels have received a similar upgrade, at least in responsiveness if not in design. No more loading screens. It finally gives me hope that CV is finally going to update this archaic UI we have.
And in my experience, you can type a channel number to exit. |

said by UnnDunn:No. That requires the 8300HDC. looking at the data stream from physical channel 85 (8Mhz bandwidth), service ID 999, i see some changes. thought perhaps it might be available for 2-way CC's if there are no changes, it might just be the way im seeing it on my monitor. edit: any plans for CV to upgrade to OCAP version 2 ? if OCAP vers 2 is already in place, i cant find the relevant physical channel. |

"Exit" does nothing on 8300HD |
|

LOL. It worked on the 4250HD just the other day. It would tune to 12 when you hit exit. I guess another update "fixed" that. |
