Will the service cost less if you buy the phone first?

Will the service cost less if you buy the phone first?

I bet not. But it should.

Never has. The service cost stays the same but in theory you don't have a contract as the phone price is not subsidized.

It would on T-Mobile. They have a lower price for plans that did not have a subsidy for the phone:

Yup, plans are cheaper on T-mobile if you bring your own phone or pay full price up front.

However, they do allow you to pay the retail price for the phone over a 20-month interest free loan.

I think this Project Black/Dark that T-mobile had going was the Nexus One release at the same time, but had been delayed.

Interesting. Maybe that is why they chose T-Mobile?

Apparently they originally approached Verizon first, but it said it wasn't interested. Maybe Verizon felt it had it's hands full with the Droid....

Anyway, GSM is a better choice for the Nexus One. Fits the model better.

Think GLOBAL.. It might not even be intended for the United States mass market.
