[Internet] Brighthouse Internet issues - Titusville, FL

Is anyone else experiencing any issues with Brighhouse over the past few hours? Specifically, I have sporadic access to anything under the Google umbrella. Websites that rely on Doubleclick just sit there forever. Maps, Mail, etc all are spotty.

Anyone else pulling their hair out?

Thanks,
Dom

I'd call support, but they'd tell me to unplug and replug my router/modem.

Well, I just contacted them via chat... and of course, they wanted me to reset the modem. Which, of course, I had already done but I was told: "the system show that the modem has not been reset properly"

Near as I can tell by performing a traceroute while the issue is happening, the problem seems to be with the last couple of hops & has always shown gw-in-f99.1e100.net at the final hop when the issue persists.

Same things happening, Last night it took ages to load Youtube, Now its taking ages to load Google but Youtube loads and a few others wont load

I'm used to it, I remember after years of lurking I finally registered on this site because every day at ~8AM or so the internet would completely die till late that night, It'd work all night then go out first thing in the morning again

When its cold the net usually dies here

Can't have more then 4 PC's hooked up and online at one time (recent problem)

Ah the issues but oh well

I'm seeing the same thing in the Orange City, FL area.

Bestbuy.com not loading, google stuff loading half-way or slow. Totally reset all my equipment.

Also I have a remote site at work on Comcast, that cannot connect to our main VPN, on Brighthouse. The IP will not even respond from Brighthouse.

This all started at about 3-4 PM lastnight.

I just called them, after thoroughly explaining the issue, and the other reports of the exact same problem on this forum, I got the standard script. Are they not capable of thinking outside the box or is someone standing behind them ready to beat them to death if they deviate from the standard script even a little? *sigh*

What seems to be happening on my Comcast to Brighthouse VPN issue is..

The tracert from Brighthouse to Comcast goes complete, but the one back from the Comcast remote site to my main Brighthouse Static IP dies at hop 13, which is:

13 45 ms 44 ms 44 ms gig0-3.orldfldlnd-ubr5.cfl.rr.com [24.95.230.215]

Having the same problem accessing anything under the Google umbrella in Maitland, FL. Called BH and after cutting through the bullshit they are putting me through to Tier 3. Thought it had something to do with the fact that I got a new modem yesterday but I guess one of BH's bandwidth providers is having routing issues.

If you hear anything new, please let us know. It HAS to be a bad route somewhere....

If they set up a ctrack for the issue (if they still use ctracks) give us the ctrack number so we can all call in and reference it.

@rr.com

They gave me a case number (71806763) but I don't know if that's the same as a ctrack. Google seems to be loading faster/more frequently now for me but I may just be getting lucky.

Wow check this out, this is a respond I just got from them inregards to my connection issues, I also edited out IP/personal info. And then you will see my respond back.. They are so clueless and full of crap, I am getting angry.

As per your email, I understand that the modem is a business
class UBR, and the Router is a WRT54G. The issue is not only with just
VPN however. You cannot get the remote site 1.2.3.4 to access even
your Outlook Webmail @ »1.2.3.4/exchange/

I understand how important it is for you to make sure that the VPN and
exchange site can be connected.

I will certainly provide you with all the necessary information.

You are experiencing the issue because Road Runner does not
support both VPN and Exchange server.

And here is my reply, I am getting ticked now

You have got to be kidding me with "You are experiencing the issue because Road Runner does not
support both VPN and Exchange server."

This setup has been fine for over 7 years. Nothing has changed, I currently have OTHER VPN USERS AND Exchange users accessing services on our Roadrunner Static IP Business Account, as we always have day after day.

My Remote site 1.2.3.4 on (Comcast) can not access any data incoming to Static IP of 4.3.2.1 at my main connection (Brighthouse) if the next reply states that Roadrunner does not support incoming data packets to it's Static IP WAN customers then I am forwarding this to my account rep to figure out exactly why I have purchased internet service that does not accept IP packet data in both directions.

So Again, my Brighthouse Networks STATIC IP of 4.3.2.1 will not accept ANY incoming connections from a remote site on Comcast @ IP 1.2.3.4 . This just started yesterday, and has been working fine for a LONG TIME. Please escalate this to a higher level support if necessary.

No idea, apparently they don't even know there is an issue, or won't acknowledge the fact that there is.... so we wait..

Given it's a holiday, we might be waiting until Monday for someone with the knowledge to realize there's a problem. I've been using my 3G tether most of the day and it's been way more responsive than BrightHouse Internet has been the last 24 hours.

Youtube has been slow for months on brighthouse. Now anything google.com related is intermittent at best. If your experincing these problems use google.ca or bing for now.

I issued a complaint last week, I just wonder if they are trying to do some packet shaping or throttling. Sorry to be such a conspiracy theorist, but something odd is defiantly going on here.
