Nexus 1

Although not the "carrier breaker", this is an incredible device. I have a G1 and spent 5 hours w/ a Nexus 1 a few nights ago. This was a Google employee phone, I do not know if the commercial phone will be the same.It is very fast, screens pop, web pages load 3 - 4 times faster. The screen is very bright, sharp and has excellent contrast and black levels. The higher resolution (854x480) screen is wonderful for viewing web pages. It did get very warm and I have no idea what the battery life will be like.

For about $400 I got a Nokia E72 that will work on all 3 3G frequencies (850, 1900, 2100 I.E. Tmo and ATT, as well as overseas) and it has VoIP abilities built in, I Would have loved one of the google phones but no ATT 3g and it's/their selling for more then the E72 made it easy choice.

Nope, that E72 will not work on T-Mobile in the US.

You got ripped off.

T-Mobile 3G runs on 1700MHz here in the states. You're SOL.

Ah I though Tmo was 2100 here (apparently its used in Europe) NBD to me anyway, I'm on ATT for the foreseeable future anyway (no reliable Tmo service in my area) and I don't like the locked down Verizon handsets (excluding the Droid)
