Someone better alert my company, who feels the need to email EVERY fuckin file and just completely ignore the fact that we have fileservers out the ass. Yeah, emailing an attachment, saving it, editing it, and resending the slightly altered attachment does WONDERS for our remote email server, T1 lines, and Exchange store. Of course, they also feel the need to print out EVERY email as well, and then bitch to me about toner costs. -- You're so vain... I bet you think this post is about you. |

 | Notice how they base this off of GOOGLE visted email, forget yahoo's email, hotmail, your company email, your ISP email, heck some have phone email addresses...
If I want to communicate with someone on Facebook, they have to be on Facebook too...
with email, they just usuall need something to access one of their accounts... Facebook replacing email.... not this decade... |

1 edit | Yeah e-mail is far from dying. Rather, I think it needs better traction -- most use it but there are those that don't see the potential.
It doesn't make sense how people can just say that e-mail is dying just because more people visited Facebook than Google during a holiday. Facebook is just informal for companies/sites to make contact. For example, I'd like to see something from Apple land in my Facebook inbox.. not a chance. I can definitely see Facebook as a PR anchor and it's walking a fine line with that. |
