Somethings not right about DataJack

Okay, this deal from DataJack sounds great, so I contacted them and they verified that they used the Tmobile network and that I had 100% 3G coverage at my zip code. So I contacted Tmobile both using their website and on the phone and they verified that I DID NOT have any 3G coverage in my zip code area. So I called DataJack back and asked about this, and then the sales rep. told me they use other carriers but could not tell me who.

So are they telling the truth? Do they really use more than Tmobile's network, maybe Verizon and Sprint as well? I can get 3G from Verizon and Sprint, so if DataJack is really using multiple carriers, this is the only way I would be covered. I don't know if I want to gamble with this company.

The device they picture on the website appears to be a re-badged Option 452 - my understanding is that the 452 is GSM 3G/AWS based - TMobile and ATT are the only GSM carriers of note.

I called to verify coverage in my area that is EDGE only on the T-Mobile network and only Verizon provides the "3G" speeds. The rep insisted that 3G coverage was available and if not I had 14 days to return the device minus the $15 restocking fee. When my Verizon contract expires in 3 months I may give these folks a try.

I need to find out if it will work with my cradlepoint router though.

Same here, the keep insisting that there is 3G coverage in my area. I know for sure Verizon is the only 3G provider here. When you go to the coverage maps, my area is NOT serviced. Even if they used the AT&T network as well (GSM), we are in the EDGE 2G here anyway. ALOT OF MISCONCEPTIONS SO FAR.

Plus, who wanted to pay a restocking fee of $15.00 if it doesn't work ? ? ? they should know for sure and not have to go thru guesswork.
