They'll be adding a $6.10 "special municipal fee" on to customer phone bills in Missouri every month for the next four years... When in fact, if you read the article
Her November phone bill showed a one time charge of $6.10 Further down in the article,
residential customers will be charged .59 cents to $1.99 per landline. Business owners will be charged .76 cents to $3.50 per landline. I understand how fashionable it is to hate AT&T, but jeez, really? -- "To be sincere, you don't have to know anything, you just say whatever makes you feel good and spin and smug circles in your tiny fucked up little head, happy as long as you're true to yourself. Whether it is $6 per month or just $6 one-time

I understand the major difference between what Karl said and what the article said and i also understand wanting the news reported accurately
But in this case, I don't really care that much about whether the number is small or large....the fact that there is 1 cent going to this is absurd
So, no, I am not missing your point. I just see it as irrelevant in this instance

Nobody ever said the article wasn't important or needed to be brought up it's about Karl's lack of proper information.

Whether the number he gave is wrong is irrelevant to the main point.
Nobody cares if it is exactly right or not. The point is AT&T passing their own mistake off onto its customers

| Re: wow Karl Just drop it. My point was why did you even respond to this??? Corona brought up a valid point in Karl's misreporting. That's all he was doing and then you had to come in and say you don't care. Well you may not but alot of us are sick of misreporting on this site. | |

To top all of this off, you were wrong on the misrepresentation. Classic. Kudos

| | Actually you're leaving out additional information.
quote: Remember that one time charge on Hittner's November bill? It showed up again in December.
AT&T told NewsChannel 5 it will continue to show up on Hittner's bill, every month, for about the next four years.
...
A spokesperson with AT&T could not explain why phone bills say "one time charge." He said on average the charges will last about four years. He promised to look into the discrepancy but could not get back to the I-Team Monday night.

AT&T told NewsChannel 5 it will continue to show up on Hittner's bill, every month, for about the next four years. However, not every Missouri customer will see an increase. If you own a business or live in the City of St. Louis, AT&T said it will not pass its tax onto you, because the city did not take part in the settlement.
Karl was correct. Why's a crowd here saying he was wrong? -- "I cannot teach him. The boy has no pants."
