However, this version appears to correct a bug I had with the previous version (Update 17) in Windows 7 where the Sun Java Console option under tools would not work properly unless running as an adminstrator (with Protected Mode in IE off). This option now works correctly under a limited account in Windows 7.

Will never install this junk program on a computer of mine though.

Has anyone else had a Firefox extension added as a result of this update?

I have process running called jqs.exe (which I assume is java quick starter), as well as a JQS extension, which can only be disabled - the buttons for removal are greyed out. I don't recall seeing an option to opt-out of this during install.
