wrt54g vs wrt120

hi,

I have a nearly 3 year old WRT54G router that works fine. I use it for wired and wireless connections. Most of my wireless devices do not support the N standard. we have one laptop that does.

may main computer is wired directly into the router as is my PS3 as they are very close to the device.

So my question is simple. Will I see any advantage in going with the wrt120?

I am using the V8 version with the standard software / latest firmware from linksys.

Thanks!!

No, I do not see any advantage that you would realize by getting a new router. Your wireless devices will connect at the 11G rate anyhow, as at best you will have a "mixed" network. If you can not dedicate a band to a pure 11N environment, then there would be no advantage.

Since you are doing well now, I would not recommend going to a new router, besides which, the WRT120N is not really a step "up" anyway.
