The media center extenders were really nice but I simply don't understand why they killed them off. Now the only real media center extender is the 360 and you can hear the fan from a mile away. Not to mention the whole game console look doesn't fit into every entertainment cabinet. Even if they just gave us Softsled I'd be happy... The newer 360's are much quieter than the others. I have an Elite that is about 1.5 years old and bought the new MW2 360. It is much queiter than the other one.

| Are you saying the ModernWarfare 2 Special Edition 360 is quieter than your 1.5Yr old Elite? I didn't know that..(as I have the 1.5Yr Old Elite as well).
Still, electronics like the 360 should be as quite as most AV components...and it is not. PS3 is quiter than my Elite, but still noisy in relation to my AV rack (though my UPS will fire up a fan now and then).
That MW2 edition have the 250GB drive too?

I noticed that the MW2 version is one of the Jasper units as I think most new Xbox's are. My PS3 is quieter than the Xbox also, but I am very impressed with the MW2 360.
