Re: they almost NEVER I like that line of thinking. In a phone call one could easily say something like "When did I ever agree to pay for that? Do you have it in writing?" I'd be tempted to even dispute the fact that the monthly service was agreed upon at that point.
It should be a 2 way street. If companies won't honor their end of the bargain over the phone, one should feel no compunction about not honoring yours.
