Re: Ebox MLPPP testing timesaid by diskace:We had to skip the test today because of the downtime of this morning affecting the network. We will rerun some test later this week. I confirm that as of tonight it is not functional. I think you still have network/routing issues right now. Some sites timeout (real bad). Switched to my TSI login only for the time being ;) edit: I was on 64.235.192.26.
Diskace, as an FYI. If I end up on .14, first hop 25ms. Same with .24.
From .30 (these might help you figure out why):
# traceroute -n 64.235.192.26
traceroute to 64.235.192.26 (64.235.192.26), 64 hops max, 40 byte packets

Give the guy a break. 3-4 weeks from now when the snow starts to melt, he should have time to start thinkering with .14 to fix it |

 | Hi folks, just a heads up:
Until 10 days ago I had a /29 with Ebox and could only get service when hitting the .14 gateway. Problems started about a month ago and I had to call Tech Support to get it working each time (they made a reset of some sort).
The guy that answered my calls (Dominic) told me there was a bug and that he could not fix it so I chose to revert to a single fixed IP because the /29 stopped working completely when my router (Cisco 877) changed gateways.
Are there any other Ebox people here with a /29 that had the same problem ?

1 edit | I don't have a /29. Just one fixed IP.
If you read between the lines in the thread titled "Some preview for this summer" , especially focusing on the last word of the thread's subject, this should give you a very good hint of when to expect a lot of stuff to happen.
From what I have been told, the .14 doesn't figure in long term plans. Unsubstantiated rumours from undisclosed sources on planet Mars seem to point at routers coming from the 5th planet from the Sun instead of Ericsson.
Having said this, between now and then, you, as a customer, should be getting your /29 to work even if it is on the old 3men routers. |
