This should be a good couple days

I went and shoveled my roof, in fear that when the rain came, it would get too heavy and crash. I should be okay now though

But the forth coming weather will test my intuition. There are allot of alerts!

My next purchase is a wind speed thingy. Holy hell was it windy.

I've always wanted to set up a computer to monitor a weather station. Would be cool to see if what I monitored would even be close to what the weather man predicted. lol

Unfortunately I have far too many exspensive hobbies already.

I've wanted to do this also. However, my house is surrounded by trees that would effect wind speed and direction. Rain and snow? I probably can get this to work as it should.

I remember Hurricane "Bob" way back. Winds at 75-80 mph. While I heard the wind in the trees, and saw them sway, I hardly felt any of it on my house. Once in a while I got a blast but I had an EMPTY can of Coke on my porch rail.... it never moved.

So if I ever wanted to get PROPER wind speed, I'd need a tower higher then my house and trees. I'm not THAT fanatic about it.

This is about 1/4 mile from my house.
Neighbor's site.

Quite a few good personal stations around here.
