Get rid of the RDP and run some nice fiber to the station via a space tether(elevator).
Would be nice except that the ISS is not in geostationary orbit.
Heh, could be tethered to a ground station on wheels, running along through fields, oceans and hitting an occasional mountain as the station orbits ahead, while the ground station uses cellular service to connect to the fixed towers.
