1-way satellite to centurylink DSL

I now can get centurylink extended DSL with 768 down and 384 up. I currently have 1-way satellite with speeds around 1.25 and latency in the 600's. I'm thinking the DSL will feel just as fast with the lower latency. Does anyone have thoughts on this? Do you think I will be happier with dsl of 768 over 1-way of 1.25?

I would without a doubt drop your dish and go with DSL. The difference you'll experience is like night and day.

Well, looks like DSL is not available for me today. Centurylink site showed DSL to be available 01/25/10 but not on 01/26/10. My mother-n-law and brother-n-law purchased service yesterday and my phone service comes from same box as theirs. Which their service will not be active until 01/28/10 at 7pm. So they may still not get service. Called centurylink today and they said they will have to check into it.

Checked with CTL_Joey and he said the centurylink system was in error. We are 27,000 ft out. He said my in laws orders were canceled.
