Re: [DSL] D-Link DSL-2320B won't configure

said by COJones:

Well, I can't find any place in D-Link's menus that says "turn on NAT" (whatever that is) or the equivalent.
It is there, but you are asking a Modem to have a feature normally only seen in Routers or Router/Modems.

NAT = Network Address Translation

Maybe D-Link's piece of $hit is defective, don't know, but if not, I have no interest in retraining from Aeronautical Engineering to IT specialist in order to get their user-hostile product to work.
It isn't defective and it shows to have DSL Sync on the WAN side along with getting a Public IP on the WAN interface just like the ActionTec does. I will say that that D-Link Modem is not any where that complex. As they say, it isn't rocket science.

I think I'm just gonna put a bullet through it so no one else has to suffer with it and make sure I never again buy a D-Link product.
Really? Just send it to me. I enjoy learning new hardware. With the User Guide, you should be able to get up to speed in a few days of study. You must understand basic networking of course.
