 | [Wireless] High Speed 125Mbps. How to check? Hi. I have a wireless network with these components(and a few other) :
-Buffalo Airstation WHR3-54G
-Buffalo Ethernet Port Wireless-G MIMO Performance Ethernet Converter WLI-U2-KG125S
-2 x Buffalo Wireless-G High-Speed USB 2.0 WLI-TX4-G54HP
All the above are 125Mbps capable and enabled in config.
Is there a way to visually check that a Client is working in 125Mbps(Afterburner) mode ? e.g like a string in ClientManager or like, showing it is in 125Mbps mode?
The issue here is that non-125Mbps clients come and go, and would like to see if G+ picks up after all the non-125Mbps clients are no longer attached.
I read in some Linksys G+ test, that the Windows XP wireless zero config is able to show 125Mbps mode, however, I am not using it.
The wireless router is behind a DSL connection so I cannot test through WAN for the bandwidth either, also testing from one client to another is cumbersome. |

 | If you have no way to tell whether or not you are connecting at 125 Mbps then it sounds like you should find something else to worry about. |

 | Thank you for your friendly answer, Full Power. As you are well aware, the AP's High Speed mode works dynamically, dropping down to vanilla 802.11g / 54Mbps when there are non-G+ clients attached to the AP. The Client Manager SW appears not being able to indicate the 125Mbps mode.

But yeah, you are probably right, I'll just move on.... |
