Re: Atlantic Broadband Support Options

Im getting the same problem, sometimes the upload stops, now the download stopped a few min ago. I know cause im on a verizon network extender, and i could hear the other person this time but they couldnt hear me, webpages wouldnt load. Atlanticbb has so many problems, not to mention the upload speeds are ancient, I could get information to another place faster by carrier pigeon. Its like they are stuck in the dark ages. And the only way to get a faster upload is to get a business account which is expensive. Oh i wish i had i had other isp choices..... Last month i had my internet go out 10 days in a row. i got a $6 discount LOL...... I felt like I was donating money to ABB because I wasnt getting service half the month for phone or internet that i pay $90 a month for 10 days is almost half the month and they gave me a $6 credit.... Thx ABB

Keep in mind I pay for your "max" speed. 8 / 512. This is every day, from around the time kids get off school (3:00 PM) until about 1130PM-1200AM. It nears unacceptable levels from 5:00 PM on.
My ping while playing online games is awful. Generally 300 + ms pings from 5:00 PM on. You may or may not be someone that plays video games, but the reason I pay for your max service is to do just
just that. Two months ago these pings were unheard of in my area. Sometimes we had small outages and I accepted them as a possibility. I've had your service for years and this had not been occuring
until the end of November.

I know there's nothing I can do legal matter wise about the poor service, lack of customer service over the phone and black outs in service because of the contract basis
that we recieve service and the no-guarantees ABB gives about your speeds and or service, but some day I will have another provider in this area. And on that day, I know many
of users frustrated like me will cancel anything to do with you, ABB. I acknowledge that your competition may not perfect (Grass really isn't that greener elsewhere), but I'm
tired of your off and on service I've had over the years.

My name is Dana, and I am a technical support rep for ABB, also. I'd like to help some of you get the service you're paying for. If you would like, you can send me a private message with more information, and I'll respond to you as quickly as I can. Happy Holidays!

Woz here. There was a maintenance in my area (WV/MD border) and a service call placed. This morning they fixed whatever was causing the packet loss and problems with ping. It's like I have my old connection back. Thanks, ABB. Happy New Years to you all.

I took over another person's ABB account yesterday and I've been trying to get in touch with customer service to update some of my account information. I've been on hold all morning with no response (although if I try to get a person through the "open new account" option, a human picks up immediately and then sends me back to permahold when she learns that I've already been a customer for one day) and the chat option does not work. Is there a Miami ABB rep out there who can speak with me for approximately two minutes to get my login information set up? I can then handle everything else online. Thanks (I hope).
