 | Unfortunately they report to a board room full of people that want to know why the company isn't making more money than last month.
It always has to be more. Even if you made $30 BILLION last month in profit and all your bills are paid and that $30 BILLION is in the bank and yours to do what you want with... if the next month comes around and they don't have more than $30 BILLION in profit for the month... they fire the management group and hire someone that promises they will make more money for them.
It's a vicious cycle. Because when you've already signed up all the people you possibly can reach... you have to find more ways of getting more money from them AND/or reducing your costs to a point that it will make a positive effect on your profit numbers from now on.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not against them selling a product and making money. I think it's wrong when they reach a critical user base saturation point and keep trying to make more money. I know that's how things work, but it doesn't mean I have to like it. |
