ablatt join:2001-08-03 Toronto, ON 1 edit | Who's the first to try Fibe 25? Whoever gets Fibe 25 using VDSL2 and the new modem please report:
1. Speeds - up and down 2. Throttling - same as ADSL2+ ? 3. Modem signal stats 4. Wireless range 5. Setting up applications on the modem 6. Easy to disable gateway functions and use just as modem? |

plus the 20 to 75 gig caps (depending where you are) really don't make it worth it in my mind. |

ablatt join:2001-08-03 Toronto, ON 3 edits | Although it's not FTTH it does use VDSL2 and I'm curious as to how the service will perform in general. It's not all that much more $$ than Fibe 16/Max 16 and is the new competitor to Rogers Extreme Plus.
And the 75GB cap is not so bad if you add 40GB for $5. |

If its 25meg sync rate, then get ready to lose about 4-5meg of actual performance on the overhead. -- GO LEAFS GO! |

They are a public company trying to make as much revenue for their shareholders. |

Mont join:2006-05-02 Saint-Leonard, QC | reply to ablatt I only use around 10 GB per month and i mostly upload so for me the 7mb upload is a big factor.
I currently have the fibe 16 service so im pretty sure of getting the speed and also that im at less than 400m of wire length from the remote help a lot. |

 | reply to ablatt i think this package benefits the heavy uploaders. I'd rather take the Rogers Extreme plus package with more bandwidth. |

Mont join:2006-05-02 Saint-Leonard, QC | reply to ablatt I know it doesn't mean anything but my remote was installed 4 years ago so i guess they would have time to change.
Also i did call bell back to confirm for tommorow and there was no issue but we never know. |

ablatt join:2001-08-03 Toronto, ON | reply to HiVolt You're right, 75GB is too low. They should have made it around 125GB to compete with Extreme Plus.
However, for $10 you can add 80GB. |

 | reply to Mont Are you getting a tech visit Mont? I would think you would need a VDSL2 modem, which for Bell would be an Alcatel-Lucent Cellpipe. |
