1 edit | The Verizon rumors will never end Seriously, ever since a few months after the FIRST iPhone launched we've been hearing these so called "analysts" and "experts" cry that there will be an iPhone / iPad / iSomething on Verizon. And guess what? 3 years later, still nothing.
Apple has made it clear they aren't giving Verizon a second shot at carrying one of their devices. When they turned down the iPhone, they lost their shot at working with Apple for anything. |

| Sad, huh?
Apple has repeatedly told it's customers who are unhappy with ATT "SUCK IT - WE DON'T CARE WHAT YOU WANT". In fact, after this little tablet release, and the time it takes them to release MMS, etc.., I think that could be considered their corporate motto. -- "What makes us omniscient? | reply to ravensfan55 you know what, i think you're right. i honestly think that stevie is so pissed with verizon for snubbing apple and essentially telling apple to get lost with their iphone a few years ago that steve would never bury the hatchet and let bygones be bygones. not until steve is gone, will apple every partner up with verizon. that's right. you heard it here first! |

 | reply to obeythelaw Last year didn't Verizon's CEO say something like "we'd be open to partner with Apple". If so, we know that Steve is just twisting that dagger right around inside Verizon.
"Oh hi Verizon, see all this data revenue AT&T is making from the iPhone? Well guess what? NOT FOR YOU" |

"Oh hi Verizon, see all this data revenue AT&T is making from the iPhone? Well guess what? NOT FOR YOU" Verizon seems to be doing pretty well on their own. The Droid has been the most successful device to stem the tide of iPhone fandom to date. Verizon still is the largest wireless company. Verizon is still getting most of their adds from iPhone/ATT defections.
While the iPhone would sure help their bottom line, ATT having the iPhone hasn't actually hurt them in any really demonstrable manner. If anything, it's hurt T-Mobile and Sprint far more. -- "What makes us omniscient?
