I don't claim to be up on all this, but why would one need / want to use Skype over 3G?
I can think of a good one. How about a 3G iPad with Skype on it and only paying AT&T for a $30 data plan(which is available) and no voice plan. Unless Apple or AT&T somehow block the 3G iPad from download the Skype app, this should be possible.
