2 edits | Novus is, flat out, Awesome! Novus offered to let me test their new 200Mbps SOHO service a a week or so ago, unfortunately I don't have 200Mbps NIC's in my firewall, so I had to pass up on the offer.
That being said, they are upgrading all their other tiers as well. The staff are Novus are amazing, esp. their junior network admin.
Got to say, if you can get Novus, you should get it!
To answer some questions:
- Service is symmetrical for all their SOHO tiers. - There is a cap, but it's counted separate. I have the 60Mbps package (soon to be 100Mbps) and it offers 540GB cap. The cap is counted separate, so you get 540GB transfer quota download, and 540GB transfer quota uploaded. - The overages are very reasonably priced compared to any other ISP in the province (and even cheaper than most colocation providers in Vancouver) at $0.50/GB. - No cap on the amount of static IP addresses you can get, I have currently 11 static IP addresses with them.
Novus, flat out rocks. I've been with them since November of 2007 and have had a total of about 30 minutes of outages. Less than 15 seconds this year so far! |

1 edit | reply to pfak OMG 200 symmetrical!!!!!!!! I would pay that price they are asking. with separate caps!!!!! 540 to boot!!!!! I wonder if you can run mail servers and websites off that, or do they have restrictions?
If I did not have to worrie about starting my business over from scratch I would move to BC tomorrow. |

 | reply to rustydusty $0.50/GB if you go over could get expensive EXTREMELY fast. wonder if you could toggle your account to just boot you off if it got to that point. |

you realize 100Megabit max unlimited is 30000GB which means go head and go full tilt your done in a single day BUT half a day downloading and half a day uploading still its NOT terrible my 5 megabit ive only done past that 540 gb a few times ( i have unlimited and can in fact get more then your 100megabit at a fraction of the cost i just get it slower |

No, it was 540GB each way on their 60mbit symmetrical package. The same package has now been upgraded to 700GB each way and 100mbit for the same price! |
