The 10% or 20% hypothetically reduced churn are just wishful thinking and based on absolutely nothing. Whether it is by legal means or not, it doesn't change the fact that there are many ways for customers to get all the music they want already. Adding some sort of subscription to people's internet costs isn't going to give people a reason to stay with a particular isp when they can get all the music they want already from other sources. It will most likely just raise prices whether it is an obvious "fee" for the service or a "free" service that has its costs hidden in with the regular price. |
