Re: The Politics of Beer I didn't pay too much attention with regard to the specifics, because I believe it's a bit broad to classify Bud drinkers as less political or involved as a non-Bud drinker.
With that said, as an Obama supporter and a supporter of all things beer, I found his choice of beer poor. Not that I have anything against Bud specifically - I enjoy an ice cold Budweiser in the summer - I would have preferred Obama think about it a little. I'm sure there are many fine small American breweries in the D.C. area. Heck, not that far up the road from D.C. is America's Oldest Brewery. They offer many nice brews. Seems it would have been a little more logical to pick there, have the media do a little piece on them, bring some attention to a place in PA that can probably use the attention.
Meanwhile, Bud advertises in more mediums than I can count, so they don't exactly need the help. -- "Soulshine. Better than sunshine. Better than moonshine. Damn sure better than rain."
I'm waiting, rather patiently I believe, for springtime.
