BBB member fees tax deductible

Any one here know of a business in GA that has written off BBB membership fees as a business expense?
I just got a company I'm involved with accredited and was wondering about that.

I don't know of a business that has written them off as a business expense, but as noted in the quote below I would imagine they would be deductible.

"Dues and fees to the Better Business Bureau may be tax deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses, but are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for Federal income tax purposes."

I've been finding that on many websites. Was wondering if anyone actually knows if it is true.

You would need to ask an accountant to be sure, but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be deductible as part of one's business expenses. One area it could fit under is as an advertising expense.
