Re: This will not end well...

So what exactly happened to ATT? I missed that.

The block was eventually lifted if memory serves. AT&T had noticed a considerable amount of malicious traffic with regards to 4chan and blocked it in response.

they discovered the block was inappropriate and lifted it within hours of it happening. In those say 6 hours or so... the ATT ceo had been reported dead; all the articles indicating that he was a visionary who made ATT work. All the investors then were communicated this fact and the other facts of how they are going to lose ALOT of customers.

Guess what. The same thing will likely happen to verizon now. Except this time they've communicated that it's explicit and meant to happen.

This means that any investors or stock owners... will look at the last month for verizon's stock. See that it's been going down all month, Now they are going to go head to head with 4chan? Whose members are pretty much uninhibited in what they are willing to do. Verizon will likely be lucky if they only just cancel their services. Either way, it'll almost certainly mean verizon caves in and unblocks... or loses ALOT of customers.

Lose/Lose for verizon.

I think the number of people who cancel their Verizon account over them blocking 4chan would be quite low or nonexistent. The rest of what you are talking about..what I can understand...seems like an exaggeration. I can't imagine anyone at AT&T losing any sleep over what happened.
