Re: Hard Drive Enclosure Help

said by Rungel:

It runs on AC power .. you will get a power cord with it .. Not a bad deal plus 30 day warranty. Just need to measure your harddrive thickness. if it's a really old harddrive i would measure it. Although I've never had a problem with thicknesses ..
Well its a modern hard drive maybe 4-5 years old and is 7200 rpm I guess I will measure it just to be safe like you said . Kind of sucks that you need to use the ac cord though , but it will be something ill have to deal with I guess. Do the external hard drives you buy in the stores need ac power?

Yes pretty sure all IDE 3.5 external drives that are already mounted in a case come with AC power. Laptop 2.5 drives can just be used with USB.. as asdfdfdfdfdf mentioned above.

Is there a model name for that case? Maybe do a search on reviews for it.
