| Another case of the land of the free being a myth. If the FBI wants us to be like China, then why don't they come out and publicly support laws that would strip away more of our "rights" and freedoms in the name of security and crime fighting. Maybe the FBI is getting to lazy to do old fashioned police work vs relaying so heavily on tech. -- Care Bear This: If anything I say offends you, then you have a problem. As I am a stranger to you, so my words should have zero emotional impact on you. If they do, please seek help from Dr. Phil. | |

That's what I am thinking. Plus, that log retention for 2 years is insane. I wonder HOW MUCH hard drive space is going to be needed to run that....
FBI really must be bored. Fight real crime plzkthx. Land of the freedom is now a thing of the past haha. Wow, lawmakers really need to get kicked in the ass and shot in the head. Less idiots running this country please. -- The Internet is about to go down....it is actually.

| Come on its needed. Cost, performance hits are just a small price to pay. It probably really should be lifetime retention and not just two measly years also. Plus since the technology is here web cameras running and recording 24/7 on all computers and in every home in every room. That also needs to be recorded. Think of all the good that can do and put faces to who is using the computer and in the house at the time it was used. I mean now maybe you could say a burglar used it. With complete web camera coverage of the house the user will be absolutely known. Maybe even have to give a DNA sample before using the computer so masks can not fool the cameras. Whatever it takes to make the computer and internet safe is what it takes. No compromises on something so significant. Years from now you will be happy we have these simple rules to follow. | |

Sorry, but no one has a need to know when I use the bathroom and how much TP I used to wipe my butt with. As a law abiding person, the government has no need to poke it's nose in my business. The constitution was written to prevent that. You did not notice the printed words on the TP you used ? Yep, they recycled the Constitution for that.
