Re: [ps3] Firewall Settings for PS3 Way to much work friend, disconnects are not necessarily related to forwarding ports. Are you wired or wireless? Any DOC3 issues for Comcast goin on in your area? More isolation might be needed.
When was the last time you updated firmware for that Dlink? I would start there 1st. The dlink website does not list much info for the user interface (your screen shot) for the 624, so I would check for UPnP setting of on/off, that should take care of the port issues itself.
If no UPnP enable/disable is avail, the next step, after firmware issues have been resolved is to just set your PS3 to a static lan ip address and open it up in the DMZ section that's shown in your screen shot.
There is a lot of mis-conception of port forwarding as far as PS3/Xbox setups go. That's more for PC gaming and server stuff and really isn't necessary. A good quality router, w/ UPnP functions will take the hassle out of all of that.
Have Comcast here w/ Netgear running PS3, PC and prev XBox. Neatgear performs great, pretty much plug and play. On Blast 16/2 tier, smokin. |
