Re: Geico? A joke. A serious joke. Avoid Geico like the plague. Not only are they expensive, they don't like to pay out claims. I'm driving a car with front end damage because they decided they didn't need to pay my claim. They are a worthless insurance group. I know several people that had the same experience with them too.

My experience with them has been excellent. From claim to having the car repaired in 2 days. Also few glass claims handled really fast. |

We've been with Geico for about 5 years. Pay 900 a year for 2 cars both newer then 2005, both with comp and 100k/300k coverage.
We've filed 3 claims. All 3 were resolved within 24 hours including a previous car that was totaled. We had a check for that less then 24 hours after the hurricane passed that totaled it.
Geico for us has been EXTREMELY good and very inexpensive. I don't drive like an idiot though and my credit doesn't suck.

| I did talk to my attorney about it. It would have cost me more to sue them than to fix my car. Since I didn't have money for either it really didn't matter. I file complaints with the BBB and the AG but it went nowhere. They basically told me to work it out with Geico and Geico basically told me to go pound sand. Idiots actually had the gall to call me the month after I cancelled my policy with them to come back. I told the retention rep what happened and that I would never use Geico or recommend them again.
