| The grass is always greener over the Septic Tank!  Erma Bombeck said it right. The grass is always greener over the Septic Tank! Unless the cost to competitive ISP's for the last mile connection, line sharing won't fly. In 1999 an incumbent local exchange carriers invited ISP's to take a share in the broadband pie. Unfortunately the sliver of pie was so small that one ISP discovered that they would continue making more money on their dial up customers than their DSL Customers. Wisely the company management predicted that in the long run dial up was doomed and sold their dial-up customers to a national ISP. |
