"They've hinted at possibly suing Slingbox for allowing the re-transmission of their content."

Huh?!?! It's still the first transmission of the content, its the viewers location that has changed by using the Slingbox. That is a silly allegation from HBO regarding Slingbox.

Where is the law that states that you must be in the room with your DVR to watch HBO shows.

Now if they mean someone "loaning" access to their Slingbox to bypass "blackout" rules or something like that, well then its still not Slingbox the company you go after in court but actually the OWNER of that Slingbox.
