|
 | Just installed it this morning. Works pretty nicely. I'm not sure why I need my cell to be a remote, but it is pretty cool. |

Does it work with multiple tvs - I have four STB/TVs? Does it work with multiple devices - STB, TV, Recever, etc? |

 | reply to kes601 Works pretty well as a remote. Great for practical jokes on the family as you can control the stb from anywhere in the house.
Like the feature of 'flicking' the photos from the phone to the tv for viewing. |

You have to configure it on each one. It will only work with the STB, not the TV, receiver, etc. Those codes would have to come from other companies.
Like I said, cool, but not too useful. |

 | reply to kes601 too bad they do not have this as an iphone app |

You're out of town on business, and your DW calls because she can't find the remote but she needs to watch that show that she *sooo* loves to follow. "Can you change the channel for me? I'll be ever so grateful, dear."
How can you deny her request?

I'm with you, some of these things are way over the top. |

This works over WiFi (which most, if not all of these smartphones) have built in (the network card that is). You jump onto your home network and you are able to communicate with the STB, which is also on your home network.

 | reply to kes601 I downloaded the app but it doesn't work. Guess I have to call tech support. I open the widget, put in my cell number etc. I press "OK" when it says to, but then nothing happens for a while. After a bit a pop up comes up and says not available or something. Then I hit troubleshoot and it checks the network and says it's fine, but the interactive content is not available. Try again later. |

 | reply to kes601 I had problems getting it to work too at first. I had to exit out of the app and then restart it. After that it worked well. I was impressed by the fast response time. I am extremely happy that they have this app because I plan on using dvr in my home theater room and bedroom. Now I don't need a RF remote. |
|
 | reply to kes601 Not a bad app. I wish they could integrate the "guide like" browsing of the Remote DVR app with this APP in order to change channels. Love the ability to scroll (flick) quickly though the guide on the Droid to a channel or group of channels to quickly browse.
I guess I'll just have to choose my favorites more carefully. |
|
 | reply to GoIU Turned out I just needed to reset the STBs...Works really well. Funny thing is, it's much faster (more responsive) than the normal remote...LOL...Wifi FTW.. |
