Agreed. I like the idea of OPTIONAL "unlimited minutes". Personally I just want to pay a one time cost for femotcell hardware to give me coverage at home. I don't need more minutes.

You are not alone. Most people have more than enough minutes included in their plan, so the idea of paying $20 more is insane. Regular people are not going to use their phones more simply because they have this, so the 'use your existing minutes' idea is really the only one that makes sense.
