I can see where the $20 comes from - if it includes unlimited minutes, it's essentially a voip service competing with their own U-voice and Vonage. $20/month is an average price point for such a service.

This is why I've been clamoring for femto hardware WITHOUT minutes. I get along just fine with my 500 minutes. I just need coverage and do not want to pay a monthly fee to get it.

no, it's not VoIP.

You can buy the device and use whatever your plan minutes are. that's what I'll be doing when it comes out. I've got like 4000 rollover minutes.
