Did you ever look at JDownloader? It does all that and even bypasses the Captcha for most sites that use them. It also can integrate with Firefox via the Flashgot Extension or its own extension (which is not compatible with 3.6.2)

It has a bit of a a learning curve, but is very powerful. |

Gets rid of the new Options Panel on left hand side. At the moment only works with Google.com
Icon in notifications tray allows to toggle between having the Options Panel or not.
Developer is working on a fix to enable extension to work with localised versions of Google. |

Re: [FireFox] Essential Firefox Addons 2010 Has anyone tried GoogleAlarm?
»jamiedubs.com/googlealarm/
quote: Get notified when Google is monitoring your web browsing
The Google Alarm Firefox addon visually & audibly alerts you when your personal information is being sent to Google servers.
Even outside Gmail and YouTube you are constantly sending information to Google through their vast network of tracking bugs: Google Analytics, Google AdSense, YouTube embeds, API calls.. all of this data be used to monitor & track your personal web browsing habits.
Google Alarm shows notifications, plays sound effects and keeps running stats about the % of websites you've visit with Google bugs present. Stay alert – install Google Alarm today.

chrisretusnRetiredPremium join:2007-08-13 Philippines kudos:1 | Yes, it is very annoying. They do have a silent version, but it is still annoying. It appears only to alert when it detects Google AdSense, Analytics and Google web sites. I really doubt that it checks for "personal" information at all.
I suppose if I really hated Google and wanted to avoid all sites that "use" Google servers to collect my "personal" stuff it might be useful. Then again I may as well just pull the plug. -- Chris Living in Paradise!! |

The "Bookmarks Menu Button", still trying to figure out what's the difference to the normal "Bookmarks". |

 | said by capdjq:... The "Bookmarks Menu Button", still trying to figure out what's the difference to the normal "Bookmarks". When you want to minimize items on the Menu bar to add other toolbar items to the Menu bar, or minimizing items to using a single toolbar, with the Personal Menu or Bookmarks Menu Button extensions, The Bookmarks toolbar icon, and History toolbar icon combines/provides the features of both the "Bookmarks" Menu item and Bookmarks toolbar icon to the Bookmarks toolbar icon. Likewise for the History toolbar icon.
