If you signup to the service and then complain about the softcap, maybe you should be more careful next time you shop for an ISP and read a little about what each one offers.
If you didn't like their softcap policy, why did you signup for it anyways?
I'm using a dedicated port for my utorrent, and it's not throttled any more then other Bell reseller.
I'm not a rep for VIF. In fact I'm with Acanac now and don't see much difference in speed. |

 | I know how long the softcap agreement was up on the website, it was up there AFTER I signed up but not when I got the service, and I was never warned. So ... whatever. |

| reply to rho88 Also why would you disable a person's internet connection when they reach the limit instead of cutting it down to some reasonable low level if they are still a paid customer.
Plus why completely shut off the news port and other traffic? I'm paying money for a connection. What the hell is wrong with the ISP market in Canada? Slow service at high prices, and not even properly functional. Too bad the CRTC is corrupt. |

rho88 join:2007-12-19 H4L 0A5 | The connection is never disabled. You just get put on a less reliable network. My connection has never been disabled even if I go over the limit.
As for news port, what you are describing has nothing to do with VIF but with any Bell reseller. |

 | I cant even get on google or do anything on the slower server as you put it, so the connection is effectively disabled. |
