How are they doing upstream?

Upstream is where most cable providers are constrained and since no one has perfected upstream channel bonding they won't be able to offer much upload speed.

It will be lulz if they're doing 250/5 or something like that.

Upstream channel bonding is getting closer. Maybe first half of this year...

They already have 100/15. Also, like Karl said, upstream channel bonding will be available soon and modems in the field already support the tech. I know my system has two upstream channels currently; if Comcast upgraded both to 64!AM they could get 60 Mbps of capacity, allowing for 35 Mbps uploads on a high end package if they wanted.

They'd have to drive the signal so hot your STB will smoke to do QAM64 upload.

I don't buy that. cablevision giving 5mbps upload on D2. its more about just being plain cheap/stingy with upload.

Uh, my modem bonds four 256QAM channels and uploads on one 64QAM...
