Re: That's nice but.. I'd have to disagree, I had comcast and even on their 16/2 package, which operated at like 4/.75 it was slow and buggy. I moved recently and luckily moved out of comcast territory into cablevision and I've had much better luck with them I'm on the 30/5 plan and I get 20-30mb down and 4-5 mb up, they are much closer to fios like speeds than comcast in my limited experience. |

And I have always gotten advertised speeds for the 8 years since I got Comcast internet. It just depends on where you live and what kind of users you share the local node with. If you share a neighborhood with many apartments filled with college students your performance at certain times will stink. |

 bsoft join:2004-03-28 Boulder, CO | reply to iansltx When I had Comcast DOCSIS 3 22/5 here in Boulder, CO, I consistently saw my advertised speed and even frequently exceeded it.
The Comcast service had more (compared with Qwest which I have now) "hiccups" due to a DCC problem, which sucked because I play a lot of online games. But I never had throughput issues. |
