250mbps powerboost anyone?

It would be great if they would uncap powerboost again, I used to get bursts of 33 mbps on my 6/1 tier 3 years ago. Now I'm stuck at 20mbps powerboost on my 16/2 tier. How about giving us all the unused bandwidth for powerboost? 250mbps for 1 second then back down to my rated speed

I hear business tiers get uncapped PB, at least on 22/5. I don't want to pay $100/mo to find out though lol

I'm with you though. I'm on 12/2 now and am limited to 20/4 PB or thereabouts. 35/10 was the PB on 22/5. I could get 30/10 for a little while on 8/2 when DOCSIS 2 had just come out!

In the Twin Cities, PB isn't active on business class services. I have a 30/5 line and am always getting just that.. any files I download, such as iTunes installs, etc. I just get my speeds.

The mis-information regarding classification of speed tiers is getting rediculous. I'm pretty sure he means 22/5 but who knows. Comcast markets it as *up to "30/7" (*with powerboost).

oi... it varies by different markets.. and I had this tier for a while now. Remember, the Twin Cities was the first to come out with these speeds..

But no, Ted... 30/5 is what my speed tier is.. and there is no powerboost. If you'd like, I can go in the other room, ask the Business Class tech that lives with me and double check, or grab my statement and double check... but, um, I'm pretty sure I know what I have.

I was bashing Comcast, not you, but yeah please provide some proof. It would be the first evidence I've seen of a sustained 30/5 tier

I'm not calling you a lier, I am truly interested in seeing evidence of a 30/5 (SUSTAINED) speed tier on Comcast. Is there any way you can show evidence of this? Prolonged speed test maybe?

No need to.. sorry. I'm not going to scan bills, do screen shots.. none of that stuff.. It's the tier I have.. it's the tier I've had since they started that service here in the cities. Not all areas have the same services... the Twin Cities market was basically the first market to have higher speed tiers. We'll just leave it there.

Even if I went through the hassle of scanning or what not, it's not going to make a difference to anything other than me having to prove something to someone else which I don't do.. that tier is no longer available anyway.

There are already sustained tiers at a much higher rate anyway.. so be it 22/5, 50/10,... how is sustaining a 30/5 tier not work? Sorry.. but it doesn't make sense to me.

Also, Business Class service in this market, at least, does not use powerboost. And, I have already posted a speed test result before.. ran the test several times in a row.. and if that was powerboost kicking in, after a few speed tests, I'd have killed powerboost for a while anyway.

I don't believe that there is or ever was a 30/5 tier.
